Duntroon Central is located in Clearview Township; our attendance area is the farthest west in the Simcoe County District School Board. The school was formed in 1964 from the amalgamation of eleven smaller rural schools in the former township of Nottawasaga. Our school recently adopted the nickname “Highlanders” in keeping with the history and geography of this area of Simcoe County. Even though we are small in numbers (111 students), our school participates in a full range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We take pride in the accomplishments and efforts of our students in their many endeavours.
Parental involvement in Duntroon Central has a long and distinguished history. Our School Council is an involved and committed group of parents, staff members and community representatives. Their efforts help to make Duntroon Central a very special place.
We are determined to use every means possible to improve the academic achievement of our students. However, it is the heart and soul that our staff share every day that leaves a lasting impression.
Please take some time to view the following links as we try to capture some of the special aspects of our school. Special thanks to Robbie Mcleod for his extra effort in maintaining our web site.
Thank you for visiting our web site. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Iona Tough
